Combo Decks

ID #1107

We are considereing using the SR-DVM700US in one of our installations. After looking at the user's guide for this unit, we are having trouble understanding how to send the RS-232 commands. Do we need to send characters in front of the command characters? Do we need to send a carriage return after the command? Or do we just send the command without anything in front or behind it?

The commands for the SR-DVM700US are sent as single byte (hexadecimal) data. When commands require more than one byte each byte should be separated by at least 50ms. There for the Standby On command should be sent as A0, while the command to select the DVD Deck should be sent as F0 (50ms) and then 3A.
